TheInternationa Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI)is proud to announce the appointment of two board members to fill vacant seats on the board! Chief Robert Halton has been appointed to fill a vacant Director-at-Large seat. Chief Forest Reeder has been appointed to fill a vacant Eastern Regional Director seat. Chief Halton is the Editor in Chief of188金宝搏是正规吗杂志and the Educational Director for the FDIC. He has a long and distinguished record of service and commitment to firefighter education safety. Chief Reeder currently serves as Battalion Chief/Director of Training for Southwest United Fire Districts in Illinois. Chief Reeder is the drill master for FirefighterCloseCalls.com and FireEngineering.com. Both will serve out terms through the end of the current term, which ends in April 2010.
Long time ISFSI member Chief Shane Ray has been appointed as ISFSI Director of Government Affairs by the board of directors. Chief Ray has tremendous experience in public policy and will represent the interest of the fire service instructor in Washington, D.C. Chief Ray will serve as the ISFSI primary representative to the Congressional Fire Services Institute and work closely with other fire service groups to advance legislation to improve firefighter safety and improve fire service resources.
