At least two high-profile fires claimed the lives of several children as well as adults this week:two brothers were killed in a firein Lawrence, Massachusetts, while a McKeesport (PA)house fire last Saturday killed six, including four young children. 9. Harvey Eisner, Editor Emeritus ofFirehouse, Dies
Eisner started his career atFirehousein 1976 as a photographer and worked his way up to editor in chief in 1982. He was a retired assistant chief of the Tenafly (NJ) Fire Department, which he joined in 1975. He served as chief of that department for 12 years.
